Adventures in Moratoville

Noche Buena and First Christmas 2005

As always Noche Buena was celebrated at Abuelo Helio and Abula Maria's house. We had about 25 people over for roasted pig and all the other Cuban delicacies. Especially bunelos, a family favorite. Of course, Gabriel couldn't get himself to sleep - there was too much going on and our little guy hates to miss any of the action. On Christmas morning, Gabriel woke up oblivious to all the excitement, but Mom & Dad were like two kids in a candy store waiting to open the presents Santa had brought the little munchkin. (This will some day be read by Gabriel, so bear with us.) We kept everything very casual as you can tell from the photos and mainly had Gabriel pose for pictures. He was still too small to sit-up but he did his best to pose for the camera. After the morning we went to Abuela Ili's house to open even more presents. Can you tell this child is already spoiled?!? Again he was oblivious, but enjoyed all the festivities.
